The day after Thanksgiving, Ellah and Mom, Loni, Eric, and Addie, and Jenny and Parker decided to burn off some of those calories by bouncing around at Pure Entertainment. Addie and Parker had the most fun, but Ellah did get to go down the giant slide with Mommy! WWWEEE!!!! Mom, Eric, and Jenny also had a litte too much fun as well... : )

Sittin' UP
At 5 months, 2 weeks, Ellah can sit up for 15-20 seconds without any support. She is getting so strong! Little screams and squacks let us know how happy she is. Her little personality is hilarious! She likes talking to cats and dogs as they walk by. So alert and aware of what's going on around her!!!
Real Food!!!
Halloween 2010
This year for Halloween, we went over to the Meirowsky's house to take some pictures before the bigger kids went Trick-or-Treating. Ellah was a black cat. After a photo session there, we went to Great Grandma James and Bills house to visit for a while. No candy gathering for us this year...but it was fun getting Ellah all dressed up and getting all the cousins together again.

My munchkin
This is just a post to brag about my favorite daughter. Ellah is now 5 months old. It has been such a blessing to have her in our lives. She is the best baby...hardly ever cries, sleeps all night most of the time, always in such a good mood. She's bashful and sweet, and so playful. She'll kick her legs when you make her smile and wiggle around a bunch. She loves it when you clap your hands for her. She can roll around now, chomp on her toes, fit her entire fist in her mouth, and has even been sucking on real food! Sometimes I wish I could just keep her this small forever, but I'm so excited to watch her grow.
Maize Fall Parade
October 9th was the Maize Fall Festival Parade! Ellah and Mom went and watched the parade with Loni, Eric, Addie, Jenny, Kevin, Parker, Maus, & Gpa Kirk. And apparantly, parades will be something that maybe she'll enjoy next year! haha Ellah didn't really like the sirens and horns and bands and drums and all that parade loudness. But the weather was nice and we got to hang out with the rest of the fam!
Pumpkin Patch!
October 8th, Ellah and Mom, Jenny and Parker, and Loni, Eric, and Addie all went to Cox Farms. Although slightly disappointed by what the pumpkin patch had to offer, we all had a lot of fun. Ellah and Mom went on a cow train ride with Addie and Parker. Yep, Mom got to ride along! Wwweeeee!!!! And probably a little bumpy for Ellah's liking. We got to watch Parker and Addie go down a slide and put our faces in some silly bodies! Mostly we got to take some really cute pictures of the kids running around and being cute trying to pick out their pumpkin. : )
Update!
Ellah was put on Propranolol in August for her Hemangioma and it seems to be helping A LOT! Within 3 days you could tell a huge difference. Every time we take her to KC they take pictures of her face to track its progression. So I won't post any pics here. There are a ton of pics that the doc is going to put on a CD for us when her treatment is all done. 2 1/2 months later on Propranolol, her cheek is just a pink color, no more swelling, and you can see all those litte blood vessels! She's doing so good!
Cousin Lovin'
Ellah is so close to her cousins. She's so lucky to get to see them so often! Addie HAS to give her lots of kisses when we visit. Ellah gets a little slobber bath every time! And Parker gets excited to see her too. He seems so protective of his cousins, Addie and Ellah. They will be such good friends, the 3 of them....I can already tell!

Hemangioma
Over time, we started noticing a red patch on Ellah's cheek and around her eye. It started very light, and grew to be a very deep, almost purple red. It started swelling and looked like it was irritating Ellah's eye. So we decided to see a dermatologist. They told us that it was a Port Wine Stain, but we should see a specialist in KC at the Children's Mercy Hospital to get the best treatment and advice. June 24th we went to see Dr. Swanson in KC. She told us that this birthmark is a Segmental Hemangioma, a much more serious issue. They were concerned about arteries in her heart and to her brain, so we scheduled an appointment for an Echo, EKG, and MRI. Dr. Swanson put her on steriods to control the growth.
